Led by Michael Murphy, MMResearch brings together a team of specialist researchers with deep expertise in behaviour change, social marketing, and public health research. Together we bring the rigour of academic research and the practicality of real-world application to every project.

  • With over 30 years of experience in behaviour change and social marketing research, Michael has guided some of Australia's most impactful public health campaigns. He has worked extensively with Quit Victoria, Cancer Councils across Australia, and Cancer Institute NSW, specialising in smoking cessation, vaping prevention, sun safety, and cancer screening.

  • With over three years of experience in social and public health research, Melody has contributed to projects spanning youth-focused vaping research, cancer screening initiatives, and behaviour change campaigns. She brings a curious and empathetic approach to understanding what truly motivates people.

  • With over 30 years of experience in psychosocial and behavioural research, Barbara is a Senior Fellow in the School of Psychological Sciences at the University of Melbourne and has authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications. She specialises in mental health, chronic disease, and behaviour change interventions, bringing exceptional academic rigour to every project.

  • A cultural sociologist with a PhD and over 30 years of research experience, Karl specialises in environmental and political communications and branding. He has worked with leading organisations including the Climate Council, RSPCA, and the Australian Greens, bringing a distinctive sociological lens to every project.
