Melody Wolfe
Research Consultant
Melody Wolfe is a qualitative researcher with expertise in behaviour change and social marketing research, having joined MMResearch in early 2023. With a Bachelor of Criminal Justice from RMIT University, Melody brings a unique analytical perspective to understanding audience behaviours, motivations, and decision-making processes.
At MMResearch, Melody has played a key role in projects focused on youth vaping, alcohol use, cervical screening, and healthy eating. Her work has included research with teens and young adults on vaping behaviours, exploring perceptions of alcohol use, and investigating strategies to encourage healthier eating habits. She has also contributed to the testing and refinement of messaging for a range of public health campaigns.
She has worked with clients such as Cancer Council, Cancer Institute NSW, University of Sydney, SA Medical Health & Research Institute (SAHMRI), and Mental Health Commission WA, conducting one-on-one interviews, paired interviews, and focus groups to provide evidence-based insights that shape public health campaigns and policy development.
Beyond her research role, Melody has extensive experience in event facilitation, customer engagement, and community initiatives, organising and hosting local book clubs and author evenings. These experiences have strengthened her skills in event management, stakeholder engagement, and public outreach.
Melody is committed to ongoing professional development, having completed The Research Society’s courses in Fundamentals of Qualitative Research (2023), Using ChatGPT with Qualitative Research (2024), and Introduction to Copilot for Market Research (2025). These have supported her in staying at the forefront of evolving best practice in qualitative research.
Her passion for understanding human behaviour extends back to her university years, where she worked with the Bridge of Hope Innocence Initiative, investigating claims of wrongful convictions through interviews with incarcerated individuals and case reviews. She also participated in the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program, gaining first-hand experience in the criminal justice system by studying alongside incarcerated individuals. These experiences have shaped her ability to connect with diverse populations, conduct sensitive, empathetic interviews, and extract rich, meaningful insights.
